By using Red Letters, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About the service

Red Letters is an AI-powered application developed and operated by Black Mile Studios LLC, an Alabama limited liability company. The app generates conversational responses inspired by the words of Jesus as recorded in the four Gospels of the Christian Bible, using artificial intelligence.

The responses generated by this app are produced by artificial intelligence and are offered as a doorway to personal reflection only. They do not constitute scripture, theological instruction, pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, prophecy, or divine communication of any kind. Always return to the Gospels themselves and consult your own faith community for guidance.

Red Letters is not a crisis, counseling, or medical service and is not a substitute for professional help. If you are thinking about harming yourself or are in danger, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) or call 911 or your local emergency number.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Red Letters. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the app. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at blackmilestudios@gmail.com.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Red Letters offers a free tier with a monthly message limit, and a paid subscription (Red Letters Pro) with unlimited messages. Pro is sold through Apple's App Store as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
We may change pricing in the future. Apple will notify you of any price change before it applies to your subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Red Letters to:

Generate content that is harmful, abusive, or illegal
Attempt to manipulate or jailbreak the AI system
Represent AI-generated responses as actual scripture or divine communication
Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure

6. Intellectual property

Red Letters, its name, design, and branding are owned by Black Mile Studios LLC. The Jesus avatar image is licensed for use within this application. You retain ownership of any content you submit, but grant us a limited license to store and process it to operate the service.

AI-generated responses are provided for personal, non-commercial reflection only.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Red Letters is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times, error-free, or that responses will be accurate, complete, or theologically sound.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Mile Studios LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content for spiritual, emotional, or pastoral decisions.

8. Service availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in the courts of Alabama.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
